The Activity Map brings your recorded walks together in one place. It displays your completed activity, totals, personal heatmap and places reached.

Open your Activity Map

  1. Open Activities.
  2. Tap the map button to open Activity Map.
  3. Wait while Go Guide builds the map from your completed activities.

The Activity Map is a Go Guide Premium feature.

Choose a year

Use the year menu above the map to show one year or select All years. The map, totals, reached places and walking regions update to match the selected period.

Read your activity totals

  • Activities: the number of completed activities in the selected period.
  • Distance: the combined recorded distance.
  • Elevation: the combined recorded elevation gain.
  • Places reached: the number of recorded peaks and landmarks associated with those activities.

Use Routes and Heatmap views

In the normal Routes view, each recorded track appears as a line. Tap a line to see its name and date, then choose View activity to open it.

Tap Heatmap to combine overlapping activity tracks into a personal heatmap. Brighter areas show places where more of your recorded walks overlap. Tap Routes to return to individual route lines.

Use the map controls

  • Drag the map to move around and pinch to zoom.
  • Use the plus and minus controls to change zoom.
  • Tap the compass to reset the map direction.
  • Tap the layers button to switch between the standard and satellite maps.
  • Tap the expand control to fit all displayed activities on screen.

Explore places you have reached

The sections below the map summarise national parks, peaks, landmarks and walking regions connected to your recorded activity. Tap a named place to find it on the map.

Explore next can suggest nearby routes you have not yet completed, based on your recent activity.

Share your Activity Map

Tap the share button at the top of the Activity Map to create an image of the current recap. The image reflects the selected year and can be shared or saved using the options available on your device.
