Activity Stories turn your completed walks into social-ready images. You can use a ready-made design or create your own using the Story Designer.

Open the sharing screen

  1. Open Activities.
  2. Select the completed activity you want to share.
  3. Scroll down and tap Share.

Use a ready-made design

  1. Swipe left or right to browse the available designs.
  2. Stop on the design you want to use.
  3. Choose Save, Instagram, Messages or More.

The ready-made designs can include your activity photo, route line, activity name, distance, elevation gain and time.

Create your own design

  1. From the sharing screen, tap Create your own.
  2. Choose one of the activity photos or tap Upload to use another image.
  3. Drag the photo to reposition it. Pinch to zoom.
  4. Use the design tools to customise your story.
  5. Tap Preview to check the finished image.
  6. Choose Save, Instagram, Message or More.

Customise your story

  • Photo: choose an activity photo or upload another image.
  • Adjust Photo: reposition, resize or rotate the background photo.
  • Overlay: place a black or white overlay over the photo and adjust its strength.
  • Text: add your own message and choose from the available text styles.
  • Date: add the full date, a numeric date, the start time or the complete start-to-finish time.
  • Stickers: add outdoor-themed emoji stickers.
  • Route: choose how the route, activity name, statistics and Go Guide branding appear.
  • Elevation: add an elevation profile and change its card style and colour.
  • Profile: add your profile photo, name or both in several different styles.
  • Copy: duplicate the selected design element.
  • Undo: reverse your most recent design change.

Drag an element with one finger to move it. Pinch with two fingers to resize it, and twist with two fingers to rotate it. Select the cross on an element to remove it.

View or delete stories from an activity

Saved or shared designs are added to the completed activity as Activity Stories. Open the activity and tap the coloured story ring around the profile photo to view them.

Stories advance automatically. Tap the left or right side of the screen to move between them. If you own the activity, use the bin button while viewing a story to delete it.
